‘Can I Kick It?’ community mural in Old Trafford, Manchester

I’m very proud to reveal ‘Can I Kick It?’, my new community mural for the OT Art Trail in Howarth Street, Old Trafford, Manchester 😊

‘Can I Kick It?’ - A community mural for the OT Art Trail

Originally commissioned by OT Creative Space, the actual brief came from Caroline and Lee, owners of the house the mural is painted on.

They were generally very open to ideas, but wanted to brighten up the area and help make a safe play space for kids, and specifically wanted “…something psychedelic, cats, a football and maybe a rainbow.”

To kick things off and get local residents involved, a community workshop was arranged at the mural site one summer evening, where we asked local kids (and adults!) to sketch out characters and objects they wanted to see on the wall.
